For the first time in history, people were excited to look for plumbers. That’s because for The Super Mario Bros. Movie, we created a janky, throwback website that looked like it came from the bros themselves, outdoor flyers, Reddit business promos, a number to call and text... Fans could even apply for jobs. SMB Plumbing was launched with a Super Bowl commercial, and the buzz that followed can only be described as: Mamma Mia! The site was also constantly updated with easter eggs, hidden sound effects, error 404 page warp pipes, a chatbot, and exclusive posters stashed behind manhole covers. It was Mario Bros. nostalgia wahoo! heaven.
