The Menu - Hawthorne
Social Stunt
Even a famous, bloody great restaurant with three Michelin stars needs to have a web presence. Even if, for its last meal, its acclaimed chef plans to kill all his guests, his staff, and himself. To hype the release of “The Menu,” we created a teaser campaign before the trailer drop that turned Hawthorne, the movie’s world-renowned restaurant, into the real thing. For two weeks, Hawthorne became the hot new place to see and be seen. We created a site to make reservations (always booked, of course), an eerie high-end promo video, ads on culinary sites, plus profiles on Resy, Yelp, and the like. The execution was flawless.
